In 2008, the Center for Urban and Regional Sociology surveyed 1304 persons, including 854 women. The sample was representative for the entire country, for the entire population aged 18+ with a tolerated error of ± 3,1%, at a level of trust of 95%. The sample was validated through data from the National Institute of Statistics.
The survey addressed family violence (physical, psychological, sexual, social, economic violence), including violence against women and minors, and the data was disaggregated by sex, forms of violence, period of life, relationships between victim and perpetrator, frequency, and reasons.
