In Scotland, the National Action Plan to Prevent and Eradicate Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a partnership approach between Police Scotland, NHS, third sector, local authorities and the Scottish Government to prioritise the protection from and prevention of FGM; provide services and appropriate support for those who have experienced FGM and hold perpetrators to account.
