Brief Description


The Prevention and Response to Violence Abuse and Neglect Unit (PARVAN) at North South Wales Health are currently working on a revised Aboriginal Family Health Strategy, the Aboriginal Family Wellbeing and Violence Prevention Strategy 2019-2025 (AFWVPS). The AFWVPS aims to: set new standards and guidelines to influence policy and practice across the NSW Health and Violence Prevention service sectors; improve service delivery by increasing Aboriginal community decision making and control in service provision; and to increase the level of service accountability and responsibility to local Aboriginal communities.
