In November 2013, The Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development coordinated a march at the opening of the 16 Days of Activism for Ending Gender Based Violence event in Samoa. Focusing on the theme, "Ending Gender Based Violence by Promoting Peace in Families and Communities," they coordinated a march in which 452 people participated from civil society as well as the public sector.
