Awareness Programs or Campaigns on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

Brief Description

From 2009 to 2012, 437 awareness programs have been conducted on domestic violence and sexual assault in Vanuatu.

The Department of Women's Affairs has carried out campaigns such as the 16 days of activism, and has dedicated special dates, such as the National and International Women’s Day, to fight against domestic violence. The Vanuatu Women’s Centre with over 100 fieldworkers also provides awareness and counselling programs for domestic violence victims.
