Brief Description

Article 10 of the Constitution of the Republic of the Congo adopted in 2002 includes the following provisions: Any individual, any agent of the State, any public authority who would be rendered culpable of acts of torture or of cruel and inhuman treatment, either on his own initiative, or under instructions, is punished according to the law.
