Gender-Based Violence Observatory

Brief Description

The Gender-Based Violence Observatory (Observatorio de Violencia de Género) contributes to the fulfillment of constitutional guarantees and full exercise of the human rights of victims of domestic and gender-based violence: sexual crimes and femicides, and allows to contribute in the taking of actions, decisions, resolutions and/or formulation of institutional and/or public policies. Collect, systematize and analyze reliable and truthful information on gender-based violence; monitor the actions of the authorities in the field of preventing, punishing and eradicating gender-based violence, taking three axes as priorities: health, justice and violence prevention. Finally, it makes public policy recommendations to the corresponding agencies.
