Form of Violence | Violence against women and girls |
In 2018, Botswana’s Parliament passed a motion to create a mandatory sex offenders' registry and ban sex offenders from working in institutions that deal with children. This is in line with the practice in most developed countries where the offenders are eventually named and shamed. The register will also make it easy for research on sex offenders.
