Amendment to Penal Code (Criminalization of "Sexual Grooming")

Brief Description

The Government has made amendments to the Penal Code to reflect the growing trend of sexual exploitation of children.  This amendment is aimed at curbing sexual predators and strengthening laws to prevent the sexual exploitation of children. The law criminalizes a person over the age of 21 meeting and traveling with a person under 16 with the intention of committing a sexual offense; observing or recording another person's private act for sexual gratification; publication and distribution of such recordings; and possession of child pornography.
