Brief Description

In 2005 the Lao Government and the Thai Government signed a bilateral agreement on combating trafficking in persons, particularly trafficking in women and children. The agreement states that both countries will improve their legislation as may be necessary and take appropriate measures to ensure the implementation of its laws and the exercise of their national jurisdictions in conformity with the Universal Declarations or International Conventions to which the parties have acceded to.
